Motshwere Safaris has always been a good hunt destination for our chapter members. Just ask Ben Payton, who took the new Number 1 Waterbuck there! Werner Lewies has donated a 7-day, fully inclusive safari for two hunters, which also includes one eland, one blue wildebeest, one, impala, and one warthog to be shared between the hunters.

The folks at Acorn Outfitters have donated this 3-day hunt for one hunter for a free-ranging aoudad in West Texas. Meals and lodging are included. Hunt must be taken in 2012 and can be upgraded to include a whitetail deer for $3,000 or a variety of exotics (blackbuck, axis deer, fallow deer, etc.) for $1,000 trophy fee per animal, all free range. From their website: Hunting is done on approximately 25,000 acres. These prime hunting ranches are located between Brackettville and Del Rio, approximately 150 miles west of San Antonio, Texas, in the northern perimeters of the legendary South Texas Brush Country. Catch dat gator LIVE! Thats right, folks! Donnie "Gator Man" Bartow of Georgia Nuisance Alligator Trapper has donated an experience to be remembered. One or two persons will assist Donnie in the catching of a live nuisance alligator in the 8 to 12 foot range. This could take only one night but may take up to 2 nights to accomplish. Once the alligator is removed from the location it becomes yours. The gator is not dispatched until after you leave the premises. Of course if you want to keep him as a pet or deliver him alive to your taxidermist, you need to bring your own leash!! Donnie will furnish snacks and drinks during the hunt, but no accommodations are furnished. The hunt will take place in south Georgia. When Donnie gets a call for the removal of a gator of the size specified he will in turn call the hunter and arrangements will be made at the convenience of the hunter.

Rio Grande Turkey and Wild Hog Hunt for Two in Texas with Savannah Safaris Texas

Chapter member Alec Strauss has donated this 2 day/3 night hunt for two hunters to Leakey TX, in the desirable Texas Hill Country about 100 miles northwest of San Antonio. This donation includes trophy fees for two turkey gobblers and two wild hogs; guide with vehicle for two days of hunting and night hunting if required; accommodations at the Pinto Ranch Lodge; and meals, wine and beer. Hunt must be taken in 2012 on mutually agreed upon dates in accordance with state hunting seasons for turkey (March 17-April 29; fall season TBD). Northern Cree Outfitters has provided this 6-day rifle hunt for free-range whitetail deer. Their operation specializes in big northern whitetail deer on the Red Pheasant Indian Reservation located near Good Soil, Saskatchewan in central Canada. Hunt includes accommodations in a B&B-style home with hot meals and must be taken November 1 December 1, 2012 or 2013. Not included are a $300 license fee per species; airport transfers of $250 if this service is needed; and a Canadian gun permit. Maybe upgrade to include mule deer for $2,000 after you tag out; however prior arrangements must be made with outfitter. Long-time SCI and chapter supporter Trevor Shaw has once again donated this spectacular photo safari at his Zulu Nyala Game Lodge in the heart of Zululand in South Africa. This 6 day/6night package includes three meals per day; lodging in your choice of the Hemingway-style tents, Heritage Safari Lodge, Nyati/Ndlovu Lodges, or Zulu Nyala Lodge; and two game drives per day in open-air vehicles driven by knowledgable guides. You will have the very real chance of photographing the best of Africa: cheetah, giraffe, zebra, elephant, rhino, kudu, buffalo, nyala, and, of course, the ever-cute warthog. Trip must be taken within two years of the date of the auction.

Chapter member and boat captain Dustin Mizell has donated this fantastic bowfishing trip for four bowfishers and four observers. You will have the opportunity to take stingray, sheephead and more! Dustin’s boat has many lights on the front that light up the gulf at night and fully-rigged bows that anyone can get of the hang of quickly. Capt. Dustin, who has over 10 years of bowfishing experience, will be your personal guide. An Alabama salt-water fishing license will be needed. Preparation of fish is included. Lodging is not included but Dustin can assist you with reservations. Can be upgraded based on donor’s pricelist.

Roe Deer Hunt on the Queen’s Balmoral Estate in Scotland with International Adventures Unlimited

Unless you are the Queen, a member of the Royal family, or the Queen’s guest, you will not be hunting here unless it’s with Michael Grosse of International Adventures Unlimited. One hunter will have the opportunity to hunt two roe deer on this 6-day package. Day One is your day of departure from the US, day two is arrival in Scotland, hunting and other activities on days 3-5, and day 6 is the day of return home. Arrival/departure point is Edinburgh.
