Christian County is one of the top producing counties in the nation for P&Y entries. This area of Kentucky is primarily cropland (corn/soybean) in rotation, hardwood ridges and hardwood bottoms. Kentucky Trophy Bucks manages approximately 5000 acres for trophy class bucks with a minimum of 125” with a bow and 140” with modern firearms (since 1999). In the early season bow hunts you can expect to hunt travel corridors while the bucks are still in their summer patterns, moving from thick bedding areas to food sources. The donation is for a 4-day, fully guided bow hunt for TWO hunters with meals, lodging, field transportation and game care included. The hunt will take place September 7-10. The two hunters will arrive around lunchtime on the 7th, get settled in and hunt that afternoon, all day on the 8th and 9th and the morning of the 10th. Additional hunter may be added for $1695 and additional days for $350 per day per person. Non-hunters are welcome at $150 per day. The hunt can be upgraded to hunt with a modern firearm or muzzleloader for an additional $800 per person. There is a Fall Eastern Wild Turkey season in Kentucky and any hunter that would like to harvest an Eastern Gobbler with their bow can do so at this time with NO trophy fee. Licenses can be purchased ($165) over the counter at Walmart or at www.kdfwr.state.ky.us.
