It cannot be described. Not only in numbers but in size also. We caught so many.... What better way to pass the time until turkey season than fishing in Costa Rico? I’ve heard from many people how good the sail fishing is this time of the year. It cannot be described. Not only in numbers but in size also. We caught so many fish from 120 to 160 pounds I was begging for a small fish under 100 pounds.

A good friend of mine had taken his boat from Venice, Louisiana through the Panama Canal to the Los Suenos Resort near the town of Jaco, Costa Rico. This is the newest and nicest resort in Costa Rico and highly recommended for safety, comfort and beauty. The only thing nicer was the new 62 foot Viking we fished on and Gleno the Captain. I’ll have to hand it to Gleno, we fished 20 pound stand-up tackle and circle hooks without killing a single fish. We caught between 40 to 50 sails in four days.
